Hello, Usenetters!

My publisher is giving away electronic copies of The Flaming Wrath of
Arelor, my first book translated to English, for free! All what is asked
from readers is an honest review of the book.

The book is available for the grab at iBooks and Gumroad. You can also use
the contact section of my website (http://richard-falken.com) for
requesting a copy.

Feedback is very important, so don't hesitate. Get your copy and tell me
what you think!

Thanks for that - I'll see about downloading a copy. I see from your
headers you're posting using Pan, so you're a Linux user. Curious to
know what software you used to write and edit the book? It's idle
curiosity, nothing more. Congrats on having what seems like a decent
publisher.

Thanks for dropping by.

I use LibreOffice for writting the novels and handling the auxiliary
material (notes and such).

When I had to publish myself, I had to do certain tasks of my own. When I
had to mess with ebook formats, I used different tools. For example, I
edited HTML and XHTML with vim on a terminal emulator. For epubs, I used
a combination of vim and sigil. I like to code these things manually,
because it leads to cleaner and smarter code... books that come from
complex gui editors are usually full of garbage code that does not help
much but bloates the size of the files.

I also used The Gimp for working with illustrations and editing the cover
and backcovers.

Cheers!
